THE CHALLENGE

Because of the competitive nature of the Hawaii tourism industry, it is crucial for properties to stand out with their display advertising – often, a vacationer’s first and last research point when choosing where to stay. Koloa Landing hired O’Rourke to re-vamp their then-current display advertising strategy, with the ultimate goal of earning more reservations.

 

THE SOLUTION

Through a carefully curated approach to display ads, O’Rourke shaped an effective strategy to utilize display retargeting as a tool to leverage Koloa Landing’s vanity site and continuously engage previous website visitors who had expressed interest but not yet reserved.

THE RESULT

Among other results, Koloa Landing witnessed a 13.4-to-1 return on ad spend (ROAS) – in other words, for every $1 spent, the resort earned $13.4 in revenue.
